Telus Phone Warranty

Telus customer service doesn't care. Here's another good read:

Couldn't agree more. My daughter signed with Telus less than 90 days ago and so far has had the phone replaced twice and now the third phone is in for repair the second time (Same model LG8100). I was told by one of their customer client staff that even though the phone has a one year warranty that Telus can say they will not honour the warranty and that my high school daughter will have to buy a phone at full price or pay out the remaining contract. I was also informed that the phone (the one with Telus stamped on it, came in a Telus box and was paid for at a Telus store) is not their responsibility!

I bought a LG8600 on june 2008 with a warranty for 3 years A-Z.I November 2008 my screen went blank.I went to telus and after 4 weeks I get a phone to say it's ready.I went to telus to pick it up and to my surprise they said it's liquid damage.I had it in my pocket and never exposed to water.I told them that I did not piss in my pants.Telus will not honor the warranty A-Z like the sales person told me.The sales person told me that unless it comes back in 4 pieces then it would not honor it which would be normal.The phone was sent back to wherever telus sends for repairs again and after 2 days they call me to say it's ready.I called the telus customer service and argued for 1 hour in the phone.Nothing got solved and I remained with a LG8600 without a screen operating.Never buy from telus,go with rodgers,fido,anything but telus

Actually, I like FIDO

My Motorola phone croaked after 18 months. I took it back to Edmonton Cellular and told the same lie. Now there is a single black mark on my credit score because I would not pay for a new phone, or for a service I could no longer receive. NEVER sign a contract with a company that won't honor their side of it!

My friend had a cell from them that she had to send back over 3 time each time coming back with the same problem. Wile I on the other had just keep having weird stuff popping onto my bill every now and then. I do not have the net on my phone But in some magical way I looked at 900 pages the other month..... my friend is free and I'm counting the days! ...I Hate Telus

telus mobility is the worst company ever to deal with ... there customer service is horible, they put people on the phone that has mental problems to deal with .. there is never a manager around to talk to ... I do not know why I stayed with them for so long ... over 15 years ... everytime I write a ba post they DELETE IT ... but I just signed a three year contract with them and had problems for 3 month with my phone and the features on it .. when I talked to 6 different people asking for a new phone .. they tell me that I signed the contract already and they can't do anything for me ....

ok heres a long story but here goes started my contract almost a year and a half ago and about 5 months ago i broke my cell and got it replaced with a new one i paid full price at future shop through their telus dealer and i was alreay a year into my contract but hey they seemed to renew it for another 3 years so now im left with 3 years left instead of 2 and just now recently after telus sends out their new mobile update my phone shuts off and restarts everytime i want to open up the key pad and type and close it im really rotted and i havent bothered to call about the contract but when i know its soon gonna be up im gonna go in there with my contract and say hey im done with yee, moto rival is my cell has any one had this problem

All I can say is that I walked into a Telus "service center" with a BB that was working fine except that I had to put my battery into someone else's each time to charge it. After three trips back and three times being told the phone was fixed, I now have a completely unusable phone and I am told even though the phone is less than a year old, it's tough luck for me. Maybe they should spend a little less on the high priced contemporary ad campaigns and more on better quality products and service?
